A thunderous roar of wings is heard from above as a swarm of massive insects descend on a fresh kill. Murder flies are monstrous versions of their tiny counterparts, feasting on large collections of rotten remains. Due to their eating habits, murder flies carry all sorts of illnesses and diseases on their bodies and often contaminate large areas of the land while feeding. More intelligent scavenging creatures have been known to keep murder flies as mounts or hounds in order to seek out carrion to feast on. A murder fly can smell blood and rot within 20 miles.
